Coverage Needed

• January 1 - March 31, 2025 Schedule
  • Call Only
  • 1 week on/1 week off coverage
  • Shifts for the MD's are 7a-7p or 7p-7a (12hr shifts) Clinical Details
    • Inpatient
    • Patients per shift: 15+ (4+ admissions, 1+ ICU, 2+ surgeries)
    • Trauma level 3
    • Help with ED on call coverage
    • Expected to be on call for the ED and complete surgeries and rotate doing post op consults during shift
    • No clinic
    • 90% adults, 10% pediatrics
    • Lab and x-ray onsite
    • Number of exam rooms: 8 Requirements
      • Board Certified or Board Eligible
      • Active OR License
      • ACLS, BLS
      • Required Skills: General Surgery (adults, pediatric), Laparoscopic Surgery (Appendectomy, Cholecystectomy, Hernioplasty, Nissen Fundoplication)
      • Preferred Skills: General Surgery (neonate), Ventilation management, Chest tube insertion, Central line insertion, PA Catheter placement
      • Acute care surgery experience Call
        • In house
        • Call response time required: 30 minutes
        • Emergency services on call
        • Call back: 20-30% Support Staff
          • RNs, MAs, 3 APPs, Office staff
          • Daytime and weekend coverage will have PA/NP coverage for assistance EMR
            • Epic
