• Employment Type: TravelJob Type:--Full-Time, Contract (W2)Job Summary: School District near Longview, WA needs an experienced School Psychologist for the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year and beyond working 37.5 hours per week with students ranging from K-12th Grade. A minimum of 1 year of School Experience as a School Psychologist is required. The position is open to in-person candidates only.
  Responsibilities:
  
  • 
    
  • Administer standardized psychological tests and assessments to evaluate students' intellectual, emotional, and behavioral development.
    
  • Assess for learning disabilities, developmental delays, emotional disturbances, and other conditions that may affect academic performance.
    
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists to develop IEPs for students with special needs.
    
  • Help tailor educational programs and interventions to meet the specific needs of students.
    
  • Offer one-on-one or group counseling sessions to help students cope with emotional, behavioral, or academic challenges.
    
  • Address issues such as anxiety, depression, bullying, self-esteem, social skills, and trauma.
    
  • Provide crisis intervention in situations such as family crises, self-harm, or incidents of violence.
    
  • Collaborate with teachers and administrators to design and implement behavior management strategies in the classroom.
    
    License and Education Requirements:
    
    • 
      
    • Masters degree in School Psychology
      
    • Active School Psychologist ESA certification in Washington
      
    • National Certification through the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP)
